Obituary

Mary Ann Hostetter, 89, of Lancaster passed away on Wednesday March 4 at the Mennonite Home after a lengthy illness. A native of Lancaster she was the daughter of the late Henry Paul and Nettie Hostetter. Mary Ann was a graduate of McCaskey High School and Millersville State Teachers College. She taught first grade for the School District of Lancaster for 38 years and was the founder of Hostetter's Day Camp in Manheim. She is survived by a sister Barbara, wife of George Young of Manheim, and two nieces Lee Ann and Kristine, both of Lancaster. We would like to thank the Lancaster Mennonite Home (Trout Run) for the loving care and concern they gave her during her stay. Interment will be held privately by the family and a Memorial Service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Jr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA at 11 am on Friday, March 13, 2015. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home from 10:30 am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made in her name to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603 or The Mennonite Home, 1520 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.
