Mary M. Henkel, 93, formerly of Charmayne Ave in Lancaster, passed away on Thursday at Lancaster Regional Hospital. She currently had been residing at St. Anne's Retirement Community.

Mary was the wife of the late Paul V. Henkel, who passed away in 1988. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles P. and Ellen Girton Murray.

Mary had been a homemaker.

She was a former member of the Conestoga Country Club where she was a member of the Ladies Golfing Assn. She volunteered with Meals On Wheels, and enjoyed music, sewing, traveling, and playing cards.

Mary was a registered nurse graduate of the School of Nursing at Misericordia Hospital in Philadelphia

Mary is survived by her 4 daughters: Mary Ellen Gossard of Ruxton, MD, Phyllis M. married to Jerome Eckenrode of Haslett, MI, Suzanne C. Henkel of Denver, PA, and Patricia A.  married to N. Scott Worrall of Bainbridge, PA; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and her sister, Dorothy Hartman of Farmingdale, NJ. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Tuesday  from 10-11AM at the Chapel at St. Anne's Retirement Community, 3952 Columbia Ave., Columbia, PA, with the Mass to be celebrated at 11AM, Msgr. Richard Onwuanibe as Celebrant. Interment in St Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mary's memory to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105. Arrangements by the Charles F.
