Mary Jane Hackman, 93, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, of Lancaster, passed away on January 20, 2017 at the Mennonite Home. Born on April 5, 1923 in Conestoga, she was the daughter of the late J. Marlin Royer and Reba Ressel Royer. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Paul Wesley Hackman, and her sister, Pauline Y. Groff, all of Conestoga. She is survived by her daughter, Linda K. Forrey, wife of William H. Forrey of Lancaster, grandsons, W. Bradley Forrey (Emily) and Ryan J. Forrey (Desiree), and five great-grandchildren (Will, Max, Jacoby, Meadow, and Tilly). She was a graduate of Penn Manor High School and was a longtime member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Lancaster. A homemaker, she loved to read and enjoyed playing cards, but cherished her time with family more than anything. Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 with the Memorial Service to follow at 11 a.m. at Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. Interment will be private in Conestoga United Methodist Cemetery.
