Mary (Mimm) Grossi, 92, of Lancaster, died Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Lancaster, she was the wife of the late Pietro "Peter" Grossi, who died November 6, 2015. They had been married 74 years. She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Anna (Williams) Mimm. Peter proposed to Mary on Pearl Harbor Day when she was 17. They were married a week later before he went to war. Mary was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Lancaster. She is survived by a brother, George Mimm of Columbia; a sister, Dolores Gibble of Lancaster; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored. She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 558 W. Walnut St, Lancaster with Msgr. Richard A. Youtz as Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery, Lancaster. Kindly omit flowers.
