Mary L. Griffin, 85, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Hamilton Arms Nursing and Rehab Center from lymphoma.

Born in Springfield, IL, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Thelma M. Lawrence Griffin.

Mary had been a Registered Nurse, working in labor and delivery at St. Joseph Hospital in Lancaster for 42 years.

She was a member of St. Philip The Apostle Catholic Church.

Mary is survived by her sister, Barbara G. Connell of Lancaster and several nieces and nephews: John T. Griffin III and Ian S. Pennisi, both of Grand Rapids, MI, Erin Griffin of Denver, CO, Laura E. Griffin D.O. of Pikeville, KY, Carolyn married to V.T. Kruza and their children Gregory and Meredith of Berryville, VA, and Christopher J. married to Christine Connell and their children Sarah and Paige of Lutherville,MD. She was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth J. Reus and he brother, John T. Griffin Jr.

Friends will be received on Sunday, June 30, 2013 from 6-8PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George St., Lancaster, PA ,with the recitation of the Rosary at 730PM. Friends may call again on Monday, July 1, 2013 from 10-11AM at St. Philip The Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA with the Mass to follow at 11AM, the Rev. Mark Weiss as Celebrant. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
