Mary E. Cipoletti, 91, of Lancaster passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Mennonite Home. She was the wife of the late Samuel J. Cipoletti who passed away in 2000.
Born in Castel Frentano, Italy she was a daughter of the late Nunzio and Angela (D'Amico) Campitelli. Mary was a tax preparer for H&R Block for several years and also worked for the S. June Smith Center with children with developmental needs. She was an avid reader and bridge player and enjoyed traveling with her family and friends. Mary was known for her homemade spaghetti and meatballs and her fasnachts surpassed any in Lancaster County. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and a very devout member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Lancaster. Family was very important to her and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her five children John Cipoletti of Florham Park, NJ, Samuel J. Cipoletti, Jr. husband of Rose of San Jose, CA, Nancy, wife of Ray Fischer of Holtwood, PA, Patricia Cipoletti of Allentown, PA and Thomas J. Cipoletti of Lancaster, PA; three grandchildren Luke Ackerman husband of Dara, Christina, wife of Eddie Musselman and Lauren Cipoletti; one great-granddaughter Ava Musselman; one brother Nick Campitelli husband of Betty of Windber, PA. Mary was preceded in death by two brothers Ralph and Joseph Campitelli and one sister Katie Donato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 9, 2016, 11AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 558 W. Walnut St, Lancaster, PA 17603 with Fr. Allan F. Wolfe as celebrant. Interment will be held in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA. A visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of her funeral mass at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the S. June Smith Center, 617 B N. Prince Street, Lancaster, PA 17603 in her memory.
Her family wishes to extend warm thoughts of thanks for the staff of Jackson Run at the Mennonite Home for the care they have given to Mary over the last years.
