Mary Maude Burkman, 85, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2006.

Born in Ash County, NC, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Jara M. Tigg Harless.  She was the wife of the late Raymond E. Burkman.

A homemaker, she was of the Baptist faith and active in the Church Street Towers Community during the late 1980's and early 90's.

She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Mae married to Marvin E. Brackbill of Lancaster; a son, Ronnie E. Burkman of York; five grandchildren, Joey, Jonathan, and Eric Burkman, Melissa Sikorski and Amie Ream; two great grandchildren, Skylar and Logan Burkman; and a brother, Thomas married to Mabel Harless of Willow Street.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
