Martin had a love for sports. He was a huge fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers in his earlier years, then became a diehard fan of the Philadelphia teams, Phillies, Flyers and especially the Philadelphia Eagles!! His love for music was profound, and he was famous for playing the drums, both the Bongo and timbales every chance he got!! He played mostly as a hobby and often played with local bands. To see him beating on the drums to his favorite salsa music would show his contagious smile and passion for music.
