Marti King, 80, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2018. Formerly of her beloved home state of Colorado, Marti was the daughter of Ellsworth Landes and Olive (Miller) Landes. Marti and her husband, Harold King, recently returned to Lancaster after living in Denver, Colorado for over 30 years where she worked as an Administrative Assistant for a CPA. Marti was a veracious reader and loved gardening, cooking, and travelling, especially to the beach. She is survived by her husband, Harold King, and children; Deb Helmuth and her husband Robin, Randy King, and Brad King and his wife Cindy. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Allison Nixon and her husband Greg, Nick Helmuth and his wife Lili, and two great-granddaughters, Elise and Audrey Nixon. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 11:00am at Community Mennonite Church of Lancaster located at 328 W. Orange St. Lancaster PA, 17603. No public viewing, but, prior to the service, guests will be received by the family from 10:00am to 11:00am. A light lunch will follow the service.
