Martha E. Garrett, 94, of Millersville and formerly of Conestoga, was called home on December 22, 2016 at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. She was the widow of the late George H. Garrett, who passed away in 2000. Born June 15, 1922 in Martic Township, she was the youngest child of the late William H. and Annie Eppeheimer Sellers.

A beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she is survived by her daughters, Mary Lou Graby, wife of the late Charlie, of Willow Street and Nancy G. Slaymaker, wife of Roy of Strasburg; and son-in-law Richard E. Canada of Lancaster, nine grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Georgianne Canada, an infant grandson and seven siblings. Martha was a lifelong member of the Colemanville United Methodist Church.

The family wishes to express heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Oak Leaf Manor, Millersville, Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community and Hospice & Community Care for their compassionate care of Martha and their support to her family.

In keeping with Martha's request, interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. A service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11 AM at Colemanville United Methodist Church. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Colemanville United Methodist Church, 210 Colemanville Church Road, Conestoga, PA 17516.
