Martha L. Cartwright, 98, of Lititz, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016 at Moravian Manor. She was the wife of Gerald Dale Cartwright, with whom she celebrated 66 years of marriage this past August 18th. Born in Bellevue, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry L. and Charmion A. Mohler Giles. Martha loved reading and the library, having served for many years as the head librarian at the Lititz Public Library when it was located at Marion and Broad Sts. In Lititz. She enjoyed weaving, and had transcribed books into Braille. Martha had earned an Associate Degree from George Washington University, and her BA as well as her Masters Degree in American History from Millersville University. In addition to her husband, Dale, she is survived by her daughters: Jennifer L. Cartwright married to Douglas Gray of Landaff, NH and Katharine A. Cartwright married to Dan Verrillo of Spruce Head, ME; her grandson Van Keith Herridge Jr. of Spruce Head, and her sister, Margaret J. Noble of Virginia.
