Martha H. Calhoun, 81, of Lancaster died Sunday morning, August 3, 2008 at Brethren Village. Born in Delran Township, Burlington County, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Alexandra Jablonski Ladzinski. Martha was the wife of the late Joseph E. Calhoun who died October 21, 1994. Martha was the owner of the J.C.'s Tavern in Philadelphia.

Surviving is a son, Joseph J. husband of Denise Calhoun of Lancaster, seven grandchildren; Eric Calhoun, Lancaster, Steven Calhoun, Philadelphia, Scott Calhoun Lancaster, Katie Calhoun, Lancaster, Kevin husband of Dawn Ertel, Boston MA, Todd husband of Sharon Ertel, London, Leah Ertel Chicago, three great grandchildren, a brother, Msgr. Casimir Ladzinski, Bay Head, N.J. and two sisters: Sister Julia Ladzinski of Reading, and Florence Stellwag of Riverside N.J. Martha was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Anne Ertel

A viewing will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 from 6-8:30PM, with a Christian Prayer Service at 8:30PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Philadelphia, PA. Please omit flowers.
