Martha Jane Bachman, 91, of Strasburg, and formerly of Natrona Heights, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2018. She was the wife of the late Harold E. Bachman, who died in 1996.

Jane was a homemaker. She enjoyed weaving, playing bingo, raising canaries and watching TV. Jane was a former member of Fawn Township No. 2 Ladies Auxiliary, Butler Spinners and Weavers and the Strasburg SERTOMA. She was a member of Center United Methodist Church.

Born in New Kensington, she was the daughter of the late Charles Orren and Virginia (Schroyer) Frampton. Jane is survived by two daughters, Susan Bachman, with whom she lived, and Judy, married to Jerry Drane, of Strasburg; a granddaughter, Leah, married to Rick Shaner, of Harwick; and a great-grandson, Scott Shaner; two sisters, Marietta Dwight Orris, of Sarver, and Jessica, married to Jack Gyer, of Lower Burrell; and a sister-in-law, Carol Frampton, of Lower Burrell. She was preceded in death by brothers, Harry and Dale Frampton; and a sister, Genevieve Leeman.

Traditional interment in Mount Airy Memorial Cemetery is private.
