Obituary

In loving memory of Mark Edward Martin, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, was born on June 14, 1964, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He peacefully passed away on April 17, 2024, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, surrounded by his loving family. Mark, known affectionately as PopPop, spent his life spreading love and joy to everyone around him.

May 31 would have marked 27 wonderful years of marriage with his wife, Angela "Brown Eyes" Martin, and together they raised a beautiful family. He leaves behind his beloved children Felicia "Sissy" Silva, wife of "Macho" Silva, Joseph "Dink" Pagan Jr, partner of Cynthia "Momma on the Run" Garza, and Olivia "Boogs" Martin, along with his cherished grandchildren Aneysiah, Naijah, Josiah, Janyce, Avery, Lianna, Ethan, Joseph III, Giselle, and Julian.

Mark's passions were as abundant as his love for his family. He cheered fervently for all Philadelphia sports teams, delighted in the art of cooking, and found solace in his faith. Yet, his greatest joy was found in the presence of his family, whom he treasured above all else.

Mark's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him. His kindness, warmth, and unwavering love touched the lives of many, and his memory will continue to be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to have known him. Rest in peace, dear PopPop. You will be dearly missed, but your spirit will forever remain in our hearts.

Mark is also remembered by his sisters Mary Bonfadini, wife of Daniel Bonfadini Orange, California, and Michele Martin of Pottstown, PA as well as his brother Mike Mikkelsen of Exeter, PA; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Sammon, brother, Christopher Adams and sister, Marlene Martin.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, from 1 to 3 pm, at Grace Baptist Church, 1899 Marietta Ave, Lancaster, Pa, followed by his memorial service at 3 pm. Flowers may be offered to Grace Baptist.

Special thank you to the men and women of Lancaster General Hospital Intensive Care Unit, the Manheim Township EMTs and our dear neighbor, Erin, for giving our PopPop extra days of life and providing us with time to say goodbye.
