Marie A. Murani, 95, of Lancaster, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 7, 2018. Born in West Chester, Marie was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Mary A. (Nider) Redmond, Sr. She was the loving wife of William T. Murani who died in 1985. Marie was a devoted Catholic and belonged to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. An avid golfer, she was a former member of the Conestoga Country Club and Overlook Golf Course. She enjoyed reading and playing cards. Marie is survived by many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Leanne Murani and her three siblings: Thomas J. Redmond, Jr., Joseph E. Redmond, and Grace R. Watson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM, Saturday, February 17, 2018, at St. Anthony of Padua, 501 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA 17602, with Rev. Daniel O'Brien as Celebrant. Family and friends will be received at the church from 10AM to 11AM. Interment will follow at St. Cecilia's Catholic Cemetery in Coatesville.
