Marie E. Haas Miller, 93, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John and Annie Kay Haas. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Carl L. Miller.

Mrs. Miller was a member of St. Andrew's United Church of Christ. She had worked for Lancaster General Hospital as a server in the cafeteria, a job which she loved. Mrs. Miller was skilled at sewing, crochet, and needlepoint.

Mrs. Miller is survived by two sons: Carl "Skip", husband of Gloria Miller of Lancaster, Kenneth, husband of Peg Miller of Lancaster; one daughter, Janet Miller of Chattanooga TN; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at Saint Andrew's United Church of Christ, 701 North Lime Street (corner of Lime and New Streets) Lancaster on Saturday, March 21, 2009, at 11:00 a.m., with Reverends Robert Hunsicker and Susan Minasian officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10-11 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Strasburg Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
