Marian Murray, 89, of Lancaster, passed away on June 9, 2016. Born in Pottsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clayton & Marian (Kennedy) Houser. Marian was the wife of the late James F. Murray. She was an operator for the Telephone Answering Service of Willow Grove, PA. Marian was a volunteer for the Landis Valley Museum. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. She was an avid reader especially of Romance novels. Marian was a gentle, giving person that was always willing to help. Surviving is a brother, William Houser, husband of Ellen; and sister-in-law, Jeanne Houser. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Houser. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 301 St. Thomas Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601 on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 11AM. Friends will be received from 10:30-11am at the church. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Marian's memory to St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
