Maria D. Figueroa, 83, of Lancaster, went into the arms of the Lord July 25, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Corozal, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Jose Rafael Rodriguez and Maria Magdalena Figueroa.

Loved by all who knew her, Maria showed her love to others through her cooking and generous soul. She is remembered by many for her tenacity, and hardworking spirit. She dedicated many years with Conestoga View; working until she was 74. She took advantage of every opportunity to spend time with her family, especially traveling and taking cruises with them. Maria also enjoyed spending her free time gardening.

Her love will live on in her children, Caroline, wife of Bolivar Medina, Jr., Iluminado Martinez, fiancé of Madelin Gonzalez, Rafael Martinez, Iris Martinez, and Rene Martinez, husband of Christina, all of Lancaster; grandchildren, Melanie Melendez, Martin Fargosa, Natalie Medina, Gina Martinez, Annette Martinez, Jasmine Martinez, Timothy Medina, Julie Martinez, Olivia Medina, Rafael Martinez, Jr., Luis Rodriguez, and Rene Martinez, Jr.; and her siblings, Maria Inez Rodriguez, Maria Rafael Figueroa, Maria Dejesus Rodriguez, Carmen Rodriguez, Maria Theresa Rodriguez, Carmen Milagros Agosto, Juan Pastor Rodriguez, Jesus Agosto, Carmen Louisa Agosto, and Carmen Socoro Agosto. She is survived by her husband, Felix Martinez. She was preceded in passing by her brother Ramon Rodriguez.

The family will receive guests at a viewing from 6 – 8 PM on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at the Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584. A funeral service for Maria will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at the funeral home at 11 AM, with a viewing prior to service beginning at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
