Margaret V. Woodland, 89, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013 at Pleasant View Retirement Community, surrounded by her family.  Born in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Geoffrey and Sarah (Brown) Weidman.

She retired as a clerical worker for the Lancaster Office of the PA Department of Welfare. Margaret was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening and playing bridge.

She is survived by 3 children: Kathy Tropp, wife of John, of Holtwood, Richard Woodland of Willow Street  and Anne Rochford, wife of John, of Lancaster; 3 siblings: Anna Powel, of Chalfont, PA, Miles Weidman, husband of Doris, of Norristown, and Albert "Tim" Weidman, husband of "Rusty" Madelin, of Audubon, PA; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2PM on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 750 Greenfield Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601, with Rev. Mark L. Russell officiating. Family and friends will be received from 1-2PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Margaret's name to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.
