Margaret (Peggy) Snader, 84, of Lancaster Township, died peacefully with her family by her side at Ephrata Hospital after a one month illness on June 9, 2008. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Nona (Marks) Krall and was the wife of Dr. Robert S. Snader. They would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on June 22 nd .
Peggy was a homemaker, in addition to being a loving wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. A 1942 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School, she was a member of the Jewels Bowling League, the Legion of Mary and was previously a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the former Lancaster Osteopathic Hospital. She enjoyed tennis, bingo, trips to Atlantic City and was an avid Phillies fan.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children: Deborah Overbaugh wife of Joseph of East Hempfield Township, and Barbara Miller of Landisville. She has seven grandchildren: Dr. Robert Overbaugh husband of Kristen of Albuquerque, NM, Matthew Overbaugh husband of Kimberly of Willow Street, Christopher Overbaugh husband of Shannon of Noti, OR, Melissa Higgins wife of Major Matthew of N. Las Vegas NV, Stacey Denlinger wife of Craig of Philadelphia, and Bryan and Samantha Stutzman of Landisville. She also has five great grandchildren. In addition, she has one surviving sister, Kathryn Snyder and a brother C. Joseph Krall, both of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Nona Vay and Blanche Eshelman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave. Rohrerstown, PA on Friday, June 13 th at 11:00 am. Internment will follow in St. Joseph's New Catholic Cemetery. Friends will be received on Friday at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Lancaster Osteopathic Health Foundation, 128 E. Grant St, Lancaster, PA 17602.
