Margaret L. "Peggy" Botts, 80, of Lancaster, PA passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 at Lancaster General Hospital. She was the wife of James A. Botts to whom she married September 21, 1958. Born in Harrisburg, PA she was a daughter of the late Glenn and Ruth (Atkinson) Shover. Peggy was a 1954 graduate of William Penn High School in Harrisburg, PA and worked as an administrative secretary for 26 years with AMP, Inc until her retirement. Peggy enjoyed buying and selling on eBay, even having an article published about her in their magazine! She also enjoyed traveling to Disney World, her 'happy place'. Peggy served her country in the US Army Reserves for over 10 years. In addition to her husband James, she is survived by her two children Dr. James G. Botts, husband of Carrie of Williamston, SC and Holly L. Botts of Asheville, NC; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one sister June wife of Stephen Simco of Mechanicsburg, PA. Peggy was preceded in death by one grandchild. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 24, 2017 at 7:30PM from the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Interment will be held privately. A viewing will be held from 6:30PM until the time of her service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Rheumatology Research Organization, 2200 Lake Blvd. NE, Atlanta, GA 30319 in her memory.
