Peg worked in the clerical pool at Armstrong Cork Company in Lancaster, and as a volunteer at Sacred Heart School in Lancaster where her children attended. She was a 60-year member of Sacred Heart Church in Lancaster. Peg enjoyed watching the Phillies, football, golf and ice-skating on T.V., spending time with her family and going to Myrtle Beach.
Besides her parents, Peg was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Bowers and Henry Bowers, and her husband, Harold B. Witmer, who died in 2002. Peg is survived by one daughter, Judi A. (James) Turner of Landisville, and two sons, Michael D. (Claudia Demmy) Witmer of Silver Spring, and Patrick J. (Susan Parkinson) Witmer of Allentown; and four grandchildren, Joseph S.
