Margaret E. Matroni, 90, of Lancaster, passed away on Sept. 20, 2026.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Leonard T. and Margaret L. Hacker Matroni.

Margaret had worked as a secretary for RR Donnelly and Sons for many years. Prior to this she worked at the Conestoga National Bank. After Donnelly, she worked for 27 years for the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce and then at the floral dept. in the Giant on Lititz Pike in Lancaster until 2025.

She was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church.

Margaret was a member of the Travelers Protective Assn., the American Legion Auxiliary, a charter member of the Red Rose Sweet Adelines, was a USO Junior Hostess, and volunteered with the Lancaster Humane League, and enjoyed bus trips to the casinos. She was a talented painter and crafter.

Margaret is survived by her brother, Thomas married to Carol Matroni of East Petersburg, her great niece Angie married to Dan Rogers, and 2 great nephews: Eran and Jonah Rogers, and nephews Leonard and Harold Matroni, and great nephew Harold Matroni, Jr. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold E. Matroni and Leonard Matroni.

Friends will be received by her family on Monday, Sept. 28, 2026 from 10-11AM at St John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Rd., Lancaster, PA 17601 with the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11AM. Interment in St. Mary's' Catholic Cemetery.
