Margaret L. Komara, 89, of 102 Longwood Court East, Lancaster PA, went to be with our LORD on Thursday, April 21, 2016, at the Lancaster Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy, PA. She was a native of Johnstown PA, Daughter of the late John and Catherine (Rolincik) Patay. Preceded in death by her loving husband, John F. Komara Jr., to whom she was married for 51 years, and her sister, Dorothy Rose Safko.

Margaret spent her career as a Banker for the former Cambria Savings Bank in Johnstown.

She lived her retirement years to the fullest! She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, and her kitty Louie. She was a loving "Grammy" to Amanda, Nicolle, Maria, Anthony, and Laura, whom she referred to as her "Precious Angels". On warm summer days she could be found reading on the porch of her little house in Pheasant Ridge.

She was honored to be a Eucharistic Minister for St. Clement and St. Philip's Catholic Churches, and volunteered as Eucharistic Minister at Lancaster General Hospital.

Margaret is survived by her son, Kevin Komara, married to Dr. Jeanette Bernardo of Willow Street Pa; and her sister, Louise Rodgers of Butler PA.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Clement Catholic Church, Johnstown, PA, at 10:00 AM Saturday April 30, 2016, Fr. William Rosenbaum. There will be no public viewing, however the family will receive friends at a Celebration of Margaret's Life at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Johnstown, PA, on Friday, April 29, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Hospice and Community Care, 4075 Old Harrisburg Pike, Mount Joy, PA, 17552 or the Lancaster Public Library, 125 North Duke St., Lancaster, PA, 17602, in memory of Margaret.
