Marcia A. (Roche) Barron, 79, formerly of New Providence and who most recently resided with her son, Donald and his wife, Maria, in Lancaster, passed away at Audobon Villa in Lititz on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Born in Lancaster to the late Morris and Caroline (Furlong) Roche, she was the soulmate for 45 years to the late Gordon Henson who died in 2013. Marcia worked for many years as a CNA and had retired from the Coatesville Veterans Hospital. She was of the Christian faith and following her retirement loved spending time at home with Gordon. Marcia looked for great deals at yard sales, but more than anything she loved traveling with Gordon to visit her step-daughter Theresa and her husband, Victor wherever the Navy stationed him. Marcia is survived by her two children: Donald Barron, husband of Maria, of Lancaster, and Caryn Galloway, also of Lancaster; step-children: Beverly Watt, Yvonne Elaine Grimes, wife of Douglas, Theresa Mendez, wife of Victor, of Virginia Beach, VA, Marilyn Culbreth, wife of Roger, Marvin Henson, Larry Lee Henson, Sr., husband of Nancy, and George Michael Henson, all of Lancaster, PA. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Marcia was preceded in death by 3 step-children: Gordon W. Henson, Jr., Brenda L., (Henson) Brown and Tyler L. Henson Funeral Services for Marcia will be held at 11AM on Monday, March 30, 2015 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17602. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marcia's name may be made to the charity of one's choice.
