Obituary

Norman L. Wolfe, 73, of Harrisburg, PA, passed away on July 25, 2015 at ManorCare of Elizabethtown. Born in Mount Zion, PA, he was the son of Alberta (Felty) Wolfe of Lancaster, PA and the late Samuel Wolfe. Norman retired as a Major after serving over 29 years in the United States Army and the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. During his service Norman performed overseas duties in Korea, Turkey, and Germany. After his service Norm worked as a general contractor and a bus driver for the Central Dauphin School District. Surviving in addition to his mother, Alberta, are four children: Kenneth Bettinger (Dawn) of Henderson, NV, Robert Bettinger (Cyndi) of Houston, TX, Joy English (Thaddeus) of Philadelphia, PA and Douglas Wolfe (Amber) of Manhattan, KS; five grandchildren; a brother, Frank Wolfe of Fair Oaks, CA; and a sister, JoAnne Hoppman of Lancaster, PA. Norman was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Wolfe. A viewing will take place from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Additional viewing will take place from 9-10 AM with a Funeral Service at 10 AM on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Outwood Lutheran Church, 934 Oak Grove Road, Pine Grove, PA 17963. Interment with Full Military Honors at Outwood Lutheran Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made directly to the Outwood Lutheran Church.
