Mable "Mabs" J. Vresilovic, 89, formerly of Pine Drive, Lancaster, passed away at Homestead Village on Wednesday, July 18, 2018. She was born in Indiana, PA, to the late Antenore Santo and Jessie Mary (Tortella) Adami. Her husband of 58 years, Edward J. Vresilovic, Sr., died in 2009.
A graduate of Indiana High School, Mabs was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker for her family. She was a member of St. Anthony's of Padua Catholic Church. Beyond the responsibilities of a running a family with seven children, she devoted significant time to volunteering at St. Anthony's, St. Joseph's Hospital Junior Auxiliary and at the Office of Aging. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, painting, bowling and golfing and was an exceptional cook.
Her surviving family includes five children: Dr. Edward J. Vresilovic, Jr., husband of Kelly French, Thomas J. Vresilovic, husband of Suzanne Sanduski, Robert S. Vresilovic, husband of Erica Freedman, Joan V., wife of Gary Greenslade and Andrea B. Vresilovic, wife of Matthew Broscious; sons-in-law James R. Ruoss and Douglas J. Pfautz, seventeen grandchildren, one great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to husband Edward, her daughters Paula L. Ruoss and Carol A. Pfautz and siblings CDR William S. Adami, Sr. and Anna Mae Tocci preceded Mab's in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 E. Orange St, Lancaster, PA 17602 on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 11 AM, with Rev. Daniel P. O'Brien as Celebrant. Viewings will take place from 4 to 6 PM on Sunday and 9:30-10:30 AM on Monday at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17602. Interment will be in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mable's name to Gelhard House of Homestead Village, 1800 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA 17603.
