IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mabel Eberly
Miller
September 8, 2015
Mabel Eberly Miller, 91, of Schwanger Road, Mt. Joy, PA, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. Born in Lancaster County, she was the widow of Irvin Miller, and the daughter of the late Benjamin S. and Annie O. Eberly. Mabel graduated from Eastern Mennonite School. She worked in various sewing factories before marrying Irvin Miller. She spent most of her adult life raising eight children and being a diligent homemaker. Mabel attended Crossroads Community Fellowship (formerly Hess Mennonite Church) of Lititz. She enjoyed being involved with the Sewing Circle at the church. Mrs. Miller created many beautiful "flower garden" quilts. Some she sold, but most of them were given to her children and grandchildren. During her sleepless nights she sat at her quilting frame working hard on these quilts. Many times she had two quilting frames going at one time. She is survived by her children, Richard, Kutztown, PA, Pat (Daryl) Bender, Ephrata, Sandra (Mike) Layton, Chambersburg, PA, Judith (Don) Bomberger, Lititz, PA, Mike (Matilda Sensenich) Miller, Ephrata, PA, Fred (Marilyn Landis) Miller, Line Lexington, PA, Barbara (Willy) Keener, Mt. Joy, PA, Samuel (the late Kim Nolt), Rohrerstown, PA; thirty three grandchildren and thirty five great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Ruth Kauffman, Whitefish, Montana. She is pre-deceased by one brother, Harvey O. Eberly, and seven sisters; Minnie O. Good, Anna Mary Weaver, Ada Rudy, Esther Auker, Barbara Eberly, Kathryn Stover, and Fannie Buckwalter. A tribute to her life will be held at Crossroads Community Fellowship, 1060 E. Newport Road, Lititz, PA 17543 on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 6:00 P.M. with The Rev. Kyle D. Buckwalter officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until time of service. Private interment will take place at Hess Mennonite Cemetery.
