M. Luis Castro, 74, of Lancaster, passed away at Suburban Mercy Hospital, Norristown, following a brief illness, on Friday, February 12, 2016. Born in Yabuccoa, PR, he was the son of the late Alejo Ontiz and Lucia Castro. Luis was the husband of the late Felicita Castro who died in 2003. Luis was a car detailer and had retired from Saturn of Lancaster. Luis was of the Evangelical faith. He enjoyed going to the casinos, traveling, playing dominos, and loved music and dancing. More than anything he loved spending time with his family. Luis is survived by 2 children: Isamael Colon, of New Jersey and Maira Castro of Lancaster; 5 step children: Justo Gallardo, of Lancaster; Carlos Gallardo, of Lancaster; Rita Cintron, of Wisconsin; Betzaida Clemente, of Wisconsin; and Edwin Gallardo, of Wisconsin. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a step daughter, Maria V. Rosa. A Viewing for Luis will be held from 7-9PM, Monday, February 15, 2016, at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17602. Funeral Services will begin at 8PM at the funeral home.
