Lydia Rivera, 87, of Lancaster, died peacefully on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at UPMC Lititz. Born in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico she was the daughter of the late Alejandro Riviera Nieves and Eulogia Hernandez Jaca. Lydia was the loving wife of the late George Hernandez. A Homemaker, Lydia was known for her cooking which she loved to share with her family while making memories. She loved singing, playing dominos and caring for her houseplants. Her sassy demeanor and friendliness to all drew people in. She was a faithful member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and being involved in church activities.

Surviving is a son, Nelson Orama, five grandchildren, Lariza Silva, Gretchen Mojica, Glenda Orama, Daliz Orama, Nelson Orama, twelve great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, five sisters and one brother. Preceding her in death was a daughter, Margarita Mojica, a brother and a sister.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Lydia's Funeral Service at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543, on Friday, July 5, 2024, at 11:00 AM. There will be a viewing and time of visitation with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will be in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster.
