On July 25, 2020 , Lydia Esther Cruz- Colon passed away peacefully in her sleep, under care of Family and those who love her. She is also survived by her husband of 27 years, Luis A. Cruz. She was 83 years old.

Lydia Esther Cruz-Colon was born in Ponce Puerto Rico. She lived her teenage and early adult years in the Bronx and Queens, New York. Later in life, Lydia Moved to Lancaster, PA, where are she lived the last 40 + years.

She was the mother of six children and is survived by three children, one daughter and two sons, Luz M. Matias, Anthony Rodriguez and Jose R. Medina. She was the grandmother to 23 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 16 great-grandchildren.

Lydia enjoyed spending time with her family. Her home was always willing to open her home to those that needed a place to stay in their time of need. Lydia was also a woman of many talents and had numerous hobbies she enjoyed. She loved sewing, drawings, embroidery, knitting, crocheting and arts and crafts. She also loved caring for numerous dogs and exotic birds.

Lydia was loved and will be dearly missed.
