Obituary

Lydia Emma Brown was welcomed into the gates of heaven on September 24, 2024, at UPMC Lititz, surrounded by her loving family. She was 90 years old. Born April 9, 1934, in Bart Twp., she was the daughter of the late Garfield and Bessy (Parker) Brown.

Many will remember Lydia's loving heart, being a foster parent to countless children over many years. She was the quintessential mother that did everything she could to bring her family together hosting dinners. Most importantly Lydia was a woman of God. She was a long-time member of Ray's Temple Church of God in Christ and Father, Son and Holy Ghost Church. She spent countless hours cooking and volunteering with church activities.

Lydia will be sorely missed by her children, Queen Clark, wife of the late Charles Clark of Lancaster, Debbie Clark of Shippensburg, Robert Brown, husband of Elaine of Lancaster, Gregory Brown, husband of Kim of North Carolina, Vanessa Brown and James Brown, both of Arizona, and Sharon Brown of Lancaster; her brother, Joseph Brown of Coatesville, as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and extended family. She was preceded in passing by her sons, Michael Brown and Anthony Brown, a brother, John Brown, and a sister, Laura Brown.

The family will welcome guests to a viewing on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral, 414 E. King St. Lancaster, PA 17602, beginning at 10 AM, with a service starting at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
