Luz M. Conde, 85, also known as "Mami Luz", of Lancaster, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Lancaster General Hospital. She was born and lived most of her life in Puerto Rico. She was the best cook and mother in the world. A homemaker, Luz was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Lancaster.

Surviving are her 8 children, Jose, Luis, Dolores, Juanita, Abigail, Lucy and Conchita Ortiz and Angie Roman; 30 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren and 3 siblings. Her son Israel Ortiz and 2 siblings preceded Luz in death.

A Viewing will take place 1 to 3 PM and the Funeral Service at 3 PM on Friday, June 3, 2011 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA.
