Luis Manuel Anavitate-Santos, 66, of Lancaster, went into the arms of the Lord October 4, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on October 29, 1954, he was the son of the late Jesus Manuel Anavitate-Colon and Fernanda Santos-Vargas. In June, he celebrated 45 beautiful years of marriage with Maria Anavitate-Pacheco.

Those who knew Luis will remember his love of his family. He was happiest when he was able to gather his family together and create lasting memories. He enjoyed barbecuing, listening to music, fishing, and watching action movies.

Many know Luis for his many dedicated years working for High Steel in Lancaster.

His love will live on in his children, Luis A. Anavitate, fiance of Daisy Rivera of Ephrata, Heidy Yailin Anavitate of Lancaster, Liza Anavitate-Pacheco of Lancaster, Joseph Anavitate of Lancaster, Christopher Lee Anavitate of New Holland, and Maribel Anavitate of Lancaster; 25 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 5 sisters and 3 brothers, as well as countless nieces and nephews.

Guests are invited to attend a viewing at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St. Lancaster, PA on Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 5 – 7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021, at Iglesia Catolica San Juan Bautista, 425 S. Duke St. Lancaster, PA at 12 PM. A viewing will also be held on Friday from 11 AM until the time of Mass. Interment to follow at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
