Lucy Delafuente, 61, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly at her home on November 1, 2023. Born in Harlingen, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Armado Gonzalez and Anselma Morelas. She was the loving companion of Fester Thomas for over 16 years.

People were drawn to Lucy by her laugh and beaming smile. She made the most of every situation and always highlighted the best qualities in people. You knew when Lucy loved you. She would give anything she could to take care of people and was always tending to others. When Lucy was around, you never felt alone and never went hungry.

She will be sorely missed by all who knew her especially her companion, Fester; children, Erika Delafuente of Lancaster, Miguel Calvo, husband of Amanda of Michigan, Christopher Delafuente, husband of Katelyn of Wisconsin, and Antonio Delafuente of Wyoming; grandchildren, Faith, Izayah, Kailee, Talan, Cooper, Kody, and Cristiano; and siblings, Esther Gonzalez Moreno, Maria Elena Martinez, Lily Garza and Raul Gonzalez, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in passing by her siblings, Juan Gonzalez, Eduardo Gonzalez, and Dominga Rocha.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 1-3 PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St. Lancaster, PA 17602.
