Obituary

Louise "Weezie" C. Cheresini, 80, of 340 Redwood Drive, Lancaster, died Wednesday, May 10, 2006, at ManorCare.

Born in Irishtown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eva M. Lawrence Hemler. After her mother died in 1931, Louise was raised by her stepmother, Pauline E. Hemler. Louise was the wife of the late Raymond J. Cheresini, who died in 1989.

Mrs. Cheresini was a registered nurse, working 33 years in the operating room of St. Joseph Hospital. She taught the operating room technicians procedures at St. Joseph School of Nursing. She was respected by all and remained friends with many for life.

A member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, Louise participated in the Legion of Mary Women's Club, and the Friendship Club at the church. Her memberships also included St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary, Sacred Heart Hospitality Club and International Federation of Catholic Alumni.

She will be greatly missed by one sister: Barbara A., wife of Robert F. Krimmel of Lancaster; two brothers: Joseph K., husband of Marcia A. Hemler of Lancaster; and Francis E., husband of Dawn A. Hemler of Lancaster; as well as nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Avenue. Lancaster, PA on Monday at 10:30 am. Interment in Holy Savior Cemetery, Cornwall, PA. A viewing will be held at the church on Monday from 9:30 –10:30 am. Please omit flowers.
