Lou Yang, 76, of Ephrata, PA, passed away at WellSpan York Hospital, York, PA, on Monday, May 6, 2019. She was born in Xieng Khouang, Laos, to the late Tong Zeb Vang and Ntxhais Lee.

A homemaker, she previously worked as a seamstress at Cinderella Knitting Mills in Denver, PA. Lou truly loved God, and was a member of Hmong Alliance Church in Leola, where she was active with Women Alliance.

Lou loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed tending to her vegetable garden.

Surviving Lou are her daughter May Lee, wife of Long Lee of Ephrata, three grandchildren, her brother Xaiv Nus Vaj and two sisters, Ntxhi Vaj and Yer Vaj. Lou was preceded in death by two brothers, Txiaj Looj Vaj and Vam Yaj Vaj, and four sisters, Xyoo Vaj, Diav Vaj, Ntxhiav Vaj and Npib Vaj.

Viewings will take place Thursday, May 16th and Friday May 17th from 6 to 9 PM, and Saturday, May 18th from 8 to 9 AM, followed by the funeral service at 9 AM, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. The Rev. Dao Yang will officiate. Interment will take place in Mohler Brethren Cemetery, Ephrata, PA.
