Loretta M. Newell, 81, of Mount Joy, PA, passed away on January 1, 2017 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Earl & Margaret (Erline) Simms. Loretta was the wife to the late William E. Newell, previous owner of Newells Garage for 35 years. Loretta loved & enjoyed all types of music, including Michael Jackson. She adored fashion with animal prints & patterns, always had her hair styled and her nails done. She loved her Himalayan cats. Surviving are children: Carl Ferrante (Connie), Pam Feld (Ben) & Michele Parks (Richard); step-children: Larry Newell (Teri), Billy Newell & Debbie Newell; 10 grandchildren & 10 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Earl Simms & Mary Knell. Loretta was preceded in death by a brother, John Simms. A viewing will take place from 11-12:30 PM on Friday, January 6, 2017 with a Funeral Service to begin at 12:30 PM at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Loretta will be laid to rest at Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens, Columbia, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
