Lorenz E. Bretz, Jr., 73, of Reading and formerly of Lancaster, died Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Reading Hospital. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Lorenz E. Bretz, Sr. and Marion Paparo DeMatt, and stepson of the late Michael N. DeMatt. He was a 1957 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School. Lorenz served in the US Navy. Surviving are his sister Michele, wife of Frederick Madden of Fort Myers, FL, 3 children and 2 grandchildren.

A Visitation will take place 9 to 9:45 AM Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA, followed by a 10 AM Graveside Service at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery, Lancaster with Msgr. Thomas H. Smith as Celebrant. Please omit flowers.
