Lois M. Moyer, 84, of Lancaster, PA, and a former long-time resident of Hockessin, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. She was the wife of the late Kenneth J. Moyer, who passed away in 2002. Born in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Alton C. and Marion Smith Mead. Ministering and giving to others was her lifeline and she was very involved in the community, being active with the former Emily P. Bissell Hospital. She was also involved in the development plans for the Turning Point Boys Home & School in Glasgow. Lois is survived by her son, James, married to Lois Moyer of Ephrata, PA, her brother Raymond Mead of Allentown, PA and by her "grandson", Roger Barry of Newport, DE. As was Lois' request, services will be private.
