Obituary

In Loving Memory of Loida M. Acosta-Rodriguez

Loida M. Acosta-Rodriguez, 63, went home to be with the Lord on July 16, 2026.

Born to Vitelma Sanchez and Guillermo Acosta, Loida was raised in Bogotá, Colombia. Throughout her life, she also called Bayamón, Puerto Rico, Lansing, Michigan, and ultimately Lancaster, Pennsylvania home, where she lived for the past 31 years.

Loida earned her Master of Clinical Social Work and devoted her life to serving others. She retired after 21 years as a social worker with the Lancaster County Children & Youth Agency, where she compassionately advocated for children and families. She was deeply committed to helping others, both professionally and personally, and was a devoted member of her church.

Her servant's heart led her to participate in mission work throughout several Latin American countries and across the United States, where she faithfully shared the love of Christ through service, encouragement, and compassion.

She is survived by her loving husband, Pedro Rodriguez; her three children, Norman, Michelle, and Jenny; her cherished grandchildren, Roman, Roxanna, and Charlotte; and her three beloved grand pups.

Loida will forever be remembered for her unwavering faith, positive spirit, kind heart, and the warmth and love she shared with everyone she met. Her legacy of generosity, hope, and grace will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remain in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Ministerios Peniel Internacional, 510 Stevens Rd., Ephrata, PA 17522. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend as they honor and celebrate Loida's beautiful life and enduring legacy.
