On October 4, 2012, Lloyd "Bill" William Sheely III joins the Angels that he so dearly loved.   We should rejoice for Bill as he joins his family that had preceded him in death – Lloyd William II, Emma, Cliff, and Barbara.  A warrior to the very end, Bill fought a courageous battle with cancer for seven years.

Born May 13, 1954 in Lancaster PA but enjoyed much of his adult life living in more rural areas like Mount Gretna, Marietta, and Lititz.  Bill also spent a few years in Mt. Pleasant, SC.  At his time of death, Bill resided in Lititz PA with his companion, Karen Stauffer Fritz.  Bill is survived by his brother Mike Sheely of Lancaster, and a daughter, Erin Michelle Devlin, whom he never stopped loving.

Bill was a 1972 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School where he excelled in soccer and basketball.  Bill went on to get his teaching certification in health and physical education from East Stroudsburg University, where he also played basketball.  Bill introduced Nautilus fitness equipment to Central PA in the late 70's as one of Central PA's most innovative fitness consultants.  Bill, a follower of Jesus Christ, attended Community Fellowship Church in Lancaster.  Bill loved nature and was an avid walker, hiker, and beach lover.  Bill volunteered at the Cancer Treatment Center of America as an Ambassador for fellow cancer victims.  In addition, Bill organized a cancer retreat at Mount Pocono Camp Ground, for both cancer patients and their care-givers.  Bill loved his 6 ^th Ward Park buddies, both male and female, and celebrated his love of 6 ^th Ward Park in 2012 with a 6 ^th Ward Park reunion called March Gladness.

A Celebration of Life services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Community Fellowship Church, 200 Bethel Dr., Lancaster PA 17601 with Pastor Bobby Parschauer officiating.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Camp CaN-doo @ Mount Pocono Camp Ground, Inc. 30 Edgewood Rd.
