IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lloyd Lefever
Goss
February 17, 2025
Lloyd Lefever Goss, 87, of Lititz, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025 at Brethren Village.
Born in Strasburg Township, he was the son of the late Ira and Edith (Lefever) Goss. He was the loving husband of Mary Geraldine (Metzler) Goss and they were married for 61 years.
He grew up in Strasburg Township, attending a one-room schoolhouse before embarking on a career as a truck driver for JH Brubaker, where he worked for over 30 years. A man of faith, Lloyd was a former member and usher at East Petersburg Mennonite Church and later attended Grace Church in Lancaster. He and his beloved wife, Gerry, shared a passion for travel, exploring all but three states in the U.S. Lloyd had a deep appreciation for collecting tractors, cars, and trucks, and he enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially hunting. Above all, he loved his family and treasured every moment with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Geraldine "Gerry" Goss; his son, Roger Goss; his sister, Ida (Clare) Mull; his sister-in-law, Evelyn Goss; and grandchildren, Taylor, and Jordan Goss.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Verna Goss, Anna (Harry) Mentzer, and Ruth (Robert) Reese; and brothers, Ira, Jr., Richard, Albert, and Aldus Goss.
Friends and family will be received from 10AM to 11AM on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Brethren Village Chapel, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. A Funeral Service will follow beginning at 11AM. Burial will take place at East Petersburg Mennonite Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lloyd's name to the Brethren Village Benevolent Fund, Brethren Village Retirement Community, Attn: Development Dept., 3001 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543.
Lloyd's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at The Court Yards at Brethren Village for the compassionate care and kindness you showed to Lloyd.
