Obituary

Lloyd Earl "Funky" Funk Jr., 72, of Washington Boro, passed away suddenly on November 23, 2024. Born in Columbia, Pa. he was the son of the late Lloyd Sr. And Bernice (Schopf) Funk. He was married 44 years to his beloved wife Paula M. (Keen) Funk.

Lloyd worked from a young age, until he left Penn Manor High School, when he went to work at Armstrong World Industries for 43 years. He then worked at 3 different area golf courses as Starter, Marshall, and grounds keeper until finally retiring in 2022. His passion was fishing, hunting and just being outdoors. He and his wife were also one of the founding families of the FreeWheelers motorcycle club, which is still active today.

In addition to his wife, Lloyd is survived by his son James Funk, sister Edna Bray (Chip), nieces Kristy Torres and Alison Bray, nephew Kirk Bray (Bridget), and a host of beloved grand-nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister Christine M. Bitner and daughter Kelly Jo Funk.
