Linda Lyle Wentley, 59, of Willow Street, lost a hard-fought battle with cancer on February 25. She died peacefully at home in Willow Street, surrounded by love. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she spent much of her youth in Millersville. She attended the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned a degree in Psychology. She also earned a Master's Degree in Women's Studies from Goddard College in Cambridge, MA. Later she attended London International Film School.

Her employment included stints writing features for the Lancaster Intelligencer Journal, and as an editor for TV Guide. She resided in London, UK for 14 years and during that time worked for British Air (Concorde Team) at Heathrow Airport.

Linda had an intense interest in film, and was an avid gardener. She also loved to read. Known as a cat whisperer, she loved animals of all sizes. She was a kind and thoughtful friend to many. She will be greatly missed by many friends and family from all corners of the globe.

She is survived by her partner, Matt Chambers, of Willow Street, and her mother, Janet (Kilcrease) Wentley, of Millersville, her sister, Cynthia Sides, of Landisville, and brothers, Howard Wentley of Orlando, Florida, Thomas Wentley of Mebane, North Carolina, and James Wentley of Palm Coast, Florida. She was predeceased by her father, Howard Wentley. She is also survived by one nephew and four nieces.

A Memorial Service to Celebrate Linda's Life will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 1PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George St. Millersville, PA. Family and friends will be received from 12noon-1PM.
