Obituary

Linda Lou Dotson Davis was born August 25, 1951, in Blytheville, Arkansas to the late Odell and Eva Dotson. She was the sister to the late Minnie Shelly, Mary Dotson, and Ivory Jean Spinks as well as aunt to the late Barbara Ann Spinks and Lori Annette Dotson. She retired in 2015 from Comcast where she was employed for the last 15 years in communications and customer service. She was a loving mother and fun loving grandmother who adored spending time wither family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Always a joy and all around positive person to be around, she loved to inspire those around her to be better. Linda was an active and long-time member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church where she enjoyed the ministry of serving God through outreach, revival, Vacation Bible School, or any other way she could serve. Recently she was voted to be a church financial officer. Linda is survived by her three sisters: Rita Dotson, of Blytheville, Arkansas, Eva Lorraine Walker, and identical twin, Brenda Dotson, both of Lancaster; her four brothers: Odell Dotson, Jr. of Augusta, GA; Robert Dotson, husband of Bertha, of Lancaster; three sons: Joe Davis, III, engaged to Melissa Morrison, both of Lancaster; Maurice Davis, Sr., husband to Diana, of Mount Joy; and Curtis Davis, of Lancaster. She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Memorial Services for Linda will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, August 22, 2016, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 701 N Lime St, Lancaster, PA 17602, with the Rev. Roland P. Forbes, Jr. officiating.
