Obituary

Linda DeLeo passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024. She was born in Maltignano, Italy on September 30, 1928. She immigrated to the US in 1947 traveling by ship with her sister, Antoinette, and her mother, Maria Odorisi. There they joined her father, Ruggero, who had already settled in Camden, New Jersey.

She was a seamstress and tailor at DiPaola Clothes (formerly A. Di Paola & Company Inc.) in Camden, NJ. She met and married Alfred Vincent DeLeo. In 1959 they moved to Lancaster, Pa.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed watching sports and was an avid fan of Tom Brady and the New England Patriots along with the Philadelphia Phillies. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Before her husband's passing, they celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary.

She was the daughter of the late Ruggero and Maria Odorisi. She is survived by four sons, Dominick DeLeo, Jere DeLeo, husband of Judy, Fred DeLeo, husband of Priscilla, and Anthony DeLeo, all of Lancaster and two daughters, Mary Ann Asghar, Lancaster and Rose Anne Snavely, wife of John, Schaefferstown. She also has 13 grandchildren; Nick DeLeo, Michael DeLeo (Claire), Lenny DeLeo, Daniel DeLeo, Angelina DeLeo (Garnie Murray), Christina DeLeo, Vincenzo DeLeo (Meg), Alex Asghar (Kawana), Brandon Snavely (Bailey Kleeberg), Andrea Snavely (Chase Zserai), Gabriel DeLeo, Clarice Paterson and Alyssa Brubaker (Matt Principe), 15 great-grandchildren, and was preceded in death by her sisters, Antoinette D'Isabella of Lancaster, and Adelia D'Isabella of Maltignano, Italy. She loved her family including nieces, nephews, cousins and her extended family. She had a special friendship with her cousin, Sonia Pizzo of Maltignano, Italy.

Linda had a strong faith and continued to pray to the end. She enjoyed making homemade pasta, meatballs, and stuffed olives to name a few. She loved cooking and sharing food with her family and friends.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Hospice & Community Care. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Linda's memory may be made to Hospice & Community Care, 685 Good Dr., Lancaster, PA 17601.

Friends and family are welcome to pay their respects on Monday, February 5th, between 6pm-8pm at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz PA. There will be a prayer service during the viewing starting at 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following day, Tuesday, February 6th at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 558 W Walnut St, Lancaster, PA. Guests will be received starting at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA.
