IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lily
Metropolis
November 27, 2016
Lily Metropolis, 28, daughter of Steve and Nancy (Henderson) Metropolis, died at her home on Sunday, November 27, 2016. Born in Lancaster, Pa., she grew up and was a lifelong resident of Lititz. She graduated from Warwick High School and continued her education at Harrisburg Community College. Lily had a passion in sports for the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots, which she maintained among fans of other teams. She also enjoyed fishing, gaming at a casino, and lived her life to the fullest she was able. Lily had a wonderful, compassionate and giving nature. While she was in rehab, she was very encouraging for others to break their addictions and stay with treatment. Lily died from an opiate overdose following her challenge to overcome her addiction. Through her valiant attempts to break through, her spirit can now be at peace, and the real Lily will be missed with cherished memories.
She is survived by her cherished five year-old son, Braden Metropolis of Lititz; her parents, Steve and Nancy Metropolis of Lititz; one brother, Samuel Metropolis of Lititz, two uncles: Carl Henderson and his wife Bea of Dallas, TX, Curt Henderson and his wife Melody of Magnolia, MA; two aunts: Jane Wells and her husband Tim of Natick, MA and Emily Taft and her husband Mike of Georgetown, MA; her grandmother, Georgia Metropolis of Peabody, MA; paternal uncles, Andy Metropolis and Bill Metropolis, both of Peabody, MA; and several aunts, uncles, and many cousins. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 7PM at Crossroads Community Fellowship Church 1060 E. Newport Rd. Lititz, PA 17543.
