Lillian H. Kurtz, 97, of Lancaster, passed away December 5, 2008, at Evergreen Estates Retirement Community. She was born in Lancaster, on April 11, 1911. Mrs. Kurtz was married to the late John I Kurtz, Jr.

Mrs. Kurtz was a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church. She was also a member of the first graduating class at Lancaster Catholic High school in 1929. She was employed as a legal secretary to the late Judge W. Hensel Brown and to Attorney Robert Going of Going and Plank.

Mrs. Kurtz is survived by her son, John I. Kurtz, III, husband of Susan M. of Lancaster, and her grandson, John I. Kurtz IV, husband of Rebecca, of Lancaster.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at Saint Mary's Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with Father Leo Goodman officiating. The family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m. at the church. Interment will be private. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Mary's Catholic Church, 119 S.
