Lewis R. Seibert Jr., 68 of Lancaster died Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Lewis Q. Seibert and Hettie Miller Seibert Mirone. Lewis was the husband of Linda Ulrich Seibert and they would have been married 33 years on January 25, 2008. He was a loving husband , father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Lewis was the shop leader/mechanic at Red Rose Transit Authority for 40 years and retired in 2002.
He served in the United States Marine Corp.
Mr. Seibert's memberships including Trustee at the Hubley Club, life time member of the Amvets, Post 19, and the American Legion, Post 34. He was on the Jet mixed bowling league for 30 years.
Surviving besides his wife, is a daughter, Patricia Seibert Hildebrand companion of Carl Bahn of Lancaster, two sons; Donald husband of Brenda Tankesley of Landisville, Michael Tankesley of Lancaster, nine grandchildren; Jessica, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Brandon, Derek, Devyn, Brienna, Kelsey, Kyle, four great grandchildren, and a brother, Ronald husband of Karen Flick. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dawn Pelan.
Funeral services will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA. on Saturday , January 19, 2008 at 11:00AM. Interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00AM. Please omit flowers. Contributions may be made in Lewis' memory to the American Lung Association of PA, 630 Janet Ave. Lancaster, Pa 17601 or the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, Pa 17603.
